Labyrinth Garden, Crying Flowers

The collection is based on a series of personal photographs from flowers that where taken in a flower shop in Paris.
Wanting to explore the spectrum of color , she found her biggest inspiration in the color combinations of nature’s beauty. The pictures of the flowers where the starting point for the beautiful colorful prints used for the entire collection. All the fabrics used for this Collection are fabrics created by Femke herself.
Her past covid generation is searching for positivity, and brining living life in color back after darker times. This brought her back to the times when her grandmother was the same generation past war of 1945. This is symbolized by the shape of the cirkel, as an idea of repetition. This shape comes back trough the whole collection.
This collection is an ode to color!
Mimétisme

La Collection de Lucie Rivière prend racine dans l’univers du mimétisme. Le mimétisme désigne la prise d’apparence du milieu qui nous entoure. Dans la forêt, la jeune femme, dont s’inspire la collection, se mimétise en admirant les oiseaux, les reptiles, le pelage des mammifères, les fines gouttes de pluie, la somptuosité de la végétation…
Ce mimétisme se traduit sur ses vêtements ainsi que sur quelques accessoires, par le biais de volumes, graphismes, détails, couleurs et plus particulièrement par les matières.
