Short term courses in Creative and Technical Design for begginers or retraining profiles (students or professionals) whishing to learn fashion technics.
Evening courses and/or courses on Saturday ; from November to February and/or from March to June ; 4h to 8 h per week

Fashion Design Evening Courses
Module 1 – Personal Universe/ Portfolio
- Learn how to make fashion moodboards to explore your personal universe.
- Begin learning how to create fashion illustrations by developing and mastering key techniques
- Discover the world of textiles: their composition, properties, etc.
- Construct a professional portfolio that highlights your talents
Profile: Beginners and/or those looking to changing careers paths (students and professionals)
Timing: from November 14, 2022 to February 24, 2023 / 52h
Rhythm: 2 x 2h, Tuesdays and Thursdays (7pm-9pm)
Additional Options: for a more in-depth vision of the fashion design profession, this course can be combined with the module “Branding / Building a collection” AND/OR the “Flat Drawing DAP / Illustrator” module.

Module 2 – Branding / Developing a Collection
Please note: this module is only available to students who have followed Module 1: “Personal Universe / Portfolio” during the 1st semester
- Learn about key concepts that are involved in creating a fashion brand: marketing, communications and branding, etc.
- Learn how to develop a collection plan
- Learn about the technical side of a garment design by working on your own database of basic garment designs (flat drawings)
- Learn how to transform flat drawings to change the shape and volume of a garment
Profile: Beginners and those changing careers paths (students and professionals)
Timing: from March 6 to June 30, 2023 / 60h
Rhythm: 2 x 2h, Tuesdays and Thursdays (7pm – 9pm)
Additional Options: the modules “Personal Universe / Portfolio” (1st semester) and “Branding / Articulating a collection” (2nd semester) can be combined with the module ” Flat drawing DAP / Illustrator” (2nd semester), but are sold separately

Module 3 – Flat Drawing / Illustrator
This online course will teach you to create flat drawings (DAP) on Illustrator for a professional rendering worthy of the expectations of the fashion industry.
- Make three garments on Illustrator (1 outwear garment, 1 blouse and 1 trouser) that include choice of color and fabric, with variations
- Create a basic library of flat drawings on Illustrator
- Work on technical and creative exercises to hone your Illustrator skills
Profile: students pursuing artistic studies who want to learn about DAP or professionals who want to improve their skills
Timing: from March 6 to June 30, 2023 / 60h
Rhythm: 2 x 2h, Mondays and Wednesdays (7pm-9pm)

Evening and Saturday Courses in Pattern Making
Module 1 – Introduction to Pattern Making
- Learn how to use a sewing machine
- Make a straight skirt in muslin by flat cutting
- Become familiar with the basics of pattern making
- Make a blouse in muslin by flat cutting
- Learn about dart manipulation
- Construct a dress (from a model) in muslin or fabric
Profile: Beginners and those changing careers paths (students and professionals)
Timing: from November 14, 2022 to June 30, 2023 / 112h
Rhythm: 2 x 2h, Mondays and Wednesdays (7pm-9pm)
Additional Options:
1/The “Introduction to Pattern Making” module can be combined with the “Draping Basics / Personal Garment” module (accessible via motivational interview)
2/The “Introduction to Pattern Making” module can be combined with modules 1 and 2 of the Fashion Design Evening Courses.

Module 2 – Draping Basics / Personal Garment
Saturdays, accessible via motivational interview
- Learn how to make a technical dossier
- Learn how to make a dress via flat cutting and draping
- Make your own dress model in fabric
Profile : Update your level with the ESMOD method for students from other schools and professionals who want to improve their skills
Request : have a level in Pattern Making: manage the assembly and the flat cut
Period / Duration: from February 6 to June 30, 2023 / 40h
Rhythm: 1 Saturday out of 2 / 10 Saturdays (9am-1pm)
Option: The module “Draping / Personal garment” can be combined with the module “Initiation to Model making”.

Fees for evening and Saturday Draping courses
Straight access to 2nd year
For students coming from a fashion or art school, the approval of all the evening course modules (Modules 1 and 2 Fashion Design + Modules 1 and 2 Pattern Making) can give access to the Intensive Fashion Design course or to the 2nd year of the Fashion Designer course.
This admission to the 2nd year is conditioned by an evaluation of the student.
This requirement must be specified at the time of enrollment in evening classes.
